Maine State Police investigate fatal highway crash in Gray
GRAY, Maine —
One person is dead and three others were injured after a crash on the Maine Turnpike in Gray Friday evening.
Investigators say the driver of a 2010 Honda Fit was heading north when she swerved to avoid a deer. He hit a guardrail and spun 180 degrees to face oncoming traffic. A 2016 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling north and crashed head-on into the Honda. The driver of the Honda, Megan Stuart, 31, of Auburn, was transported to Maine Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger in the Honda Fit – Soda Mao, 38, of Auburn – died at the scene. The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet Malibu suffered minor injuries.
Maine State Police continue to investigate the crash.
