A Live-Action GTA 6 Trailer Could Be In Production In Miami Right Now
Eagle-eyed Rockstar fans have noticed camera crews recording convoys of flashy GTA 6-themed cars in Miami, creating speculation about a new live-action trailer.
Rockstar Games has been taking over the city of Miami over the past few weeks in the lead-up to the release of GTA 6, which takes place in a fictional version of Miami called Vice City. As a result, Rockstar released all kinds of commercials in the region, sent a Vice City blimp to fly over Florida, and announced unique celebrations like a Vice City-themed NBA game with the Miami Heat in November. It’s an unprecedented marketing campaign that literally transformed the city into a real-life version of the GTA universe.
That said, it seems like a variety of things are happening right under Miamians’ noses without much explanation. Fans began to notice exotic sports cars driving around town in convoys, sometimes joined by a film crew. These are not just ordinary cars, as they are modified to look like those from the GTA series. In some fan-posted videos and photos, you can see in-universe car brands such as Grotti (a parody of Ferrari) and Emerus (a parody of McLaren) on some of the zooming vehicles.
Filming of a separate video or trailer for GTA VI continues in Miami🌴

There is a widespread belief online that Rockstar intentionally released the latest trailer much earlier in order to release another video of GTA 6, filmed in real life, before the game’s launch. For the past two days, a lot of activity has been observed in Miami: cameramen are working there and advertisements for GTA 6 have been placed. For example, some graffiti does not mention GTA 6 but simply reads “Vice City”. The same “Welcome to Vice City” inscription is also present on the stadium. Presumably, all this was done not only as part of a PR campaign, but also to film the main trailer against the backdrop of streets that will be identical to the locations of GTA 6: the same billboards, graffiti and cars with similar license plates. It is quite possible that we will be able to see such a video the day the game becomes available for pre-installation.

Some fans believe that Rockstar is filming a live-action trailer for GTA 6 and will use some of the city’s real commercials to emphasize the fact that it has created a real-life version of Vice City. As of now, Rockstar hasn’t addressed any of these ads and has instead let them speak for themselves. Likewise, it has been reported that Rockstar will soon release real-life versions of GTA’s beer brands, following their registration in a government database.
No one knows what all this is for, but all signs seem to point to it being GTA related. Rockstar has already announced that its Miami Heat-sponsored game will be called “A Night in Vice City,” so perhaps there are plans for more citywide activities beyond the basketball game itself. Regardless, this is next-level marketing and shows that Rockstar is sparing no expense.
GTA 6 will be released on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
