While police were investigating Josh Jacobs following a domestic violence charge in May, several other women reported similar incidents in which Jacobs abused them.

NBC 26 in Green Bay received previously unreleased files related to the Jacobs case from the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department Friday evening, and those files showed officers heard from at least three other people. women who said they were victims of violence at the hands of Jacobs.

A woman contacted police in June after learning of Jacobs’ arrest in May, saying she had been the victim of a similar incident with Jacobs years earlier and was reporting it to police for the first time because she wanted people to believe the woman who accused him in May. This woman said that in January 2022, Jacobs slapped her in the face, grabbed her by the hair, threw her on a bed, slammed her to the ground, threw her to the ground, spat on her and grabbed her by the throat. She also said Jacobs took her phone as she tried to leave her home.

Another woman also contacted police later in June and said that in April 2021, Jacobs grabbed her by the arms, pushed her against a wall near a window and threw her belongings outside the house. She said she suffered bruising to her arms and pain and swelling to her ribs. She said she reported it to police in another municipality, and records released by Hobart-Lawrence police to NBC 26 indicate they confirmed with another police department that it received that report, but Jacobs apparently was not arrested because the woman had no visible signs of injury.

A third woman told Hobart/Lawrence police in July that in May 2022, Jacobs placed his hands on her head and neck, dragged her, scratched her chest and took her phone. She said she suffered bruising to her arm and scratches to her chest. She said she did not report the incident to police or seek medical attention because Jacobs told her she could be deported if she had contact with authorities.

Jacobs ultimately pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property in connection with the May arrest. The NFL placed him on paid leave for the first six games of the season, then allowed him to play starting in Week 7. Jacobs remains subject to a potential suspension from the NFL for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, and the accusations made by the other three women could be considered by the NFL in determining league discipline.
