Albuquerque crash kills teen, injures 3 others
A Mustang driving at high speed ran a red light and struck a pickup truck at an intersection on Coors, killing a teenage passenger and seriously injuring three others, police said.

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico —
A 15-year-old girl died and three others were seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash at an intersection Saturday evening near Coors and Bridge boulevards in southwest Albuquerque, according to police.
The accident occurred shortly before midnight. Investigators said an orange Ford Mustang was traveling south on Coors Boulevard at a high rate of speed when it ran a red light on Bridge Boulevard and struck the passenger side of a white GMC pickup truck.
The 15-year-old passenger in the Mustang died in hospital, while another passenger, a 16-year-old girl, suffered life-threatening injuries. The 18-year-old driver who ran a red light was seriously injured and remained hospitalized in stable condition.
The driver of the van, a 24-year-old man, was also seriously injured and is in stable condition.
The Albuquerque Police Department’s Fatal Crash Unit is investigating.
