Anthropic (ANTH.PVT) understands that the U.S. government could affect how customers of all types view their business.
According to Reuters, which obtained Anthropic’s IPO prospectus, the AI giant’s disclosures suggest that “government perceptions of the company and its conduct could extend beyond its direct relationships and affect customers, partners and other business relationships.”
Reuters noted that, according to the prospectus, contracts with government agencies represent less than 1% of the company’s annual revenue.
Anthropic could go public as early as mid-November at a valuation of up to $2 trillion.
President Donald Trump recently told TIME that he had spoken to Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei about the company’s demands for regulation: “Look, I say if you seek regulation, they can bankrupt you. Now you have to be responsible for yourself, and there aren’t many people who understand what’s going on.
