Apple announces when you can start the iPhone Duo pre-order process

Pre-orders for the iPhone Duo begin Friday, October 16, but Apple just announced when you can start the process sooner. Here are the details.

Apple will let you “Get Ready” for iPhone Duo pre-orders starting October 12 for faster checkout

When Apple releases a major new iPhone model, it typically offers a window of time during which you can “Get Ready” for the pre-order by making your selections in advance.

The company has just confirmed that it will do the same for the iPhone Duo. According to a new update on Apple’s website, you can start the iPhone Duo pre-order process right now Monday October 12.

Starting October 12, and likely for much of the day October 15, you’ll be able to go to the Apple Store app or Apple’s online store and make your pre-order selections in advance.

This includes choosing your iPhone Duo color, amount of storage, wireless carrier, payment method, and more.

By completing this process ahead of time, Apple says you’ll be able to checkout faster when iPhone Duo pre-orders go live. Friday, October 16 at 8:00 a.m. ET / 5:00 a.m. PT.

If you’ve never done it before, I highly recommend the “Get Ready” process for anyone ordering directly from Apple. This is a great way to minimize potential issues on the morning of pre-orders, meaning you’ll have a better chance of getting delivery on launch day.
