In an article on X today, Apple CEO John Ternus shared a short video showing an Apple logo projected onto a dark wall against the backdrop of the city’s night skyline. This teaser comes just hours before Apple announces new MacBook models with touchscreen OLED displays, so it’s very likely that it’s referring to that.

MacBook Pro Dynamic Island Multicolor
Apple invited selected tech journalists and content creators to a “Pro and Tell” experience in Los Angeles today at 10 a.m. PT. There, guests will likely get hands-on time with the touchscreen MacBook models, as well as the new iPad mini, iMac, and 14-inch MacBook Pro models already announced by Apple earlier this week.

Here are 12 latest rumors about touchscreen MacBook models:

  • 14-inch and 16-inch models
  • OLED display with higher contrast, more vibrant colors and increased maximum brightness
  • Touch input, alongside keyboard and trackpad
  • A redesigned, firmer hinge that prevents the screen from wobbling when touched
  • A redesigned cooling system that improves airflow through the hinge
  • Dynamic Island instead of a notch
  • Thinner bezels around the screen
  • Significantly lower weight
  • A slightly thinner design
  • M5 Pro and M5 Max chips
  • macOS Golden Gate will have touchscreen optimizations and touch-specific controls
  • In the United States, pricing is expected to start at $2,899 or more for the 14-inch model and $3,399 or more for the 16-inch model.

It’s likely that the touchscreen MacBook models will be available for pre-order starting exactly at 10:10 a.m. PT today.

The long-rumored “iPhone Ultra” ended up being called the iPhone Duo, so speculation that Apple…

Apple will introduce new OLED touchscreen MacBook Pro models and an OLED iPad mini “on or around Tuesday, October 27,” Bloomberg reports. The launch will also include a 14-inch MacBook Pro M6 and an iMac M6. October 27 follows Apple’s October 13 launch of a new smart home hub, a revamped Apple TV 4K, and a refreshed HomePod mini.
