Apple (AAPL) will report its fourth-quarter results after the bell today, giving investors a look at early iPhone 18 Pro sales.

The iPhone Duo was launched for pre-order on October 16 and went on sale on October 23, missing Apple’s fiscal fourth quarter, although the company can still offer colors on demand.

This will also be Apple’s first earnings conference call with new CEO John Ternus, who took over from Tim Cook on September 1.

For the quarter, Apple is expected to report earnings per share (EPS) of $2 on revenue of $113.46 billion, according to consensus estimates from Bloomberg analysts. The company reported EPS of $1.85 and revenue of $102.46 billion during the same period last year.

Apple’s iPhone sales are expected to reach $56.48 billion, an increase of 15% year-over-year. Services, the company’s second-largest segment, is expected to generate revenue of $31.58 billion, while the company’s Mac business is expected to achieve revenue of $9.69 billion.

Wearables and iPad are expected to generate $8.99 billion and $6.83 billion, respectively.

Safe haven among technology stocks this year

Apple stock has been a relatively safe haven among tech stocks this year. Shares of the iPhone maker are up about 30% over the past 12 months. Peers Amazon (AMZN), Google (GOOG, GOOGL) and Nvidia (NVDA) are up single digits over the same period, while Microsoft (MSFT) stock is flat. Shares of Meta (META) are down about 15%.

The last month hasn’t been any better. Google, Meta and Nvidia recorded major successes, down double digits. Google and Meta have been hit by their financial results, and Nvidia is at least partly a victim of fears about the AI business. Amazon is also down slightly over the past month, leaving only Apple and Microsoft in the green.
