Apple TV Brings Back Hit Limited Series for Season 2 “By Popular Demand”

Apple TV confirmed today that what was originally planned as a limited series was returning “by popular demand.” Here are the details
“Imperfect Women” is back by popular demand
Earlier this year, Apple TV introduced Imperfect Women, an eight-part limited series starring Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men), Kerry Washington (Django Unchained), and Kate Mara (House of Cards), with a cast that also included Joel Kinnaman (For All Mankind), Corey Stoll (The Many Saints of Newark), Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton), among others.
The story, based on an Araminta Hall novel of the same name, follows three best friends whose bonds are tested when an “investigation reveals betrayals and shocking truths” after a murder.
Today, Apple TV announced that due to “popular demand,” the limited series will return “for a gripping new chapter set on Martha’s Vineyard that will revolve around the fan-favorite character, Eleanor, played by Emmy Award-winning producer and actress Kerry Washington, who will reprise her role and serve as executive producer alongside Emmy Award winner Elisabeth Moss.”
Here’s Matt Cherniss, Apple TV’s head of programming, on the return of Imperfect Women, which the platform says will be based on an original idea:
“After a wildly entertaining first season, driven by the performances of Kerry, Lizzie and Kate, we jumped at the chance to expand the world of ‘Imperfect Women’ through Kerry’s fan-favorite character, Eleanor. (…) Annie and Justin’s exciting new story seemed like an exciting and natural next chapter. We can’t wait for fans to experience it.”
Apple TV’s announcement didn’t specify when fans should expect Imperfect Women’s second season, but the project appears to still be in the very early stages of development.
