Christophe French stuck to the status quo.
THE Annie Automatic the musician shared that he and his wife Ashley Tisdale didn’t let the backlash over her essay about breaking up with her “toxic mom group” affect their daily lives.
“We’re doing well,” French told Page Six in an interview published September 30. “She’s a super smart and capable person, and she knows what she’s doing and that’s part of what I love about her.”
In fact, the Recovery podcast host – who shares girls Jupiter5, and Emerson2 years, with Tisdale – said he never felt the need to get involved in controversy.
“I have no problem fully supporting my wife in her ability to manage her own interpersonal relationships in the way that works for her,” French explained, “without getting involved or feeling obligated to speak for her.”
Describing Tisdale as a “really smart girl” and “a very capable person,” the composer noted that understanding where her heart was was part of “what made it so difficult.”
French added: “We’re very private, but we’re talking about something that really matters to her.”
