Well, the Braves’ season is over, despite the best efforts of Tyler Mahle and Michael Harris. We are now entering the offseason which holds many uncertainties for the sport and for the team. A lockout is essentially inevitable at this point and the owners appear ready to launch the most contentious round of collective bargaining in decades as they push for a salary cap. The status of next season is very much in question. Meanwhile, this Braves team could be undergoing coaching changes and has significant player needs. If you thought a starting pitcher was a must last year, it’s even more of a necessity this year, although hopefully the return of Tyler Mahle can alleviate that problem. The team also needs an injection of talent on offense, as the offense has really struggled since a historically productive 2023, followed by an incredibly unlucky 2024 and the subsequent firing of Kevin Seitzer.
