‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ bows at No. 1, ‘Primetime’ rakes in $20 million worldwide

The highest-grossing film of all time just grossed another $86 million.

Avengers: Endgame Encorea special re-release of the 2019 blockbuster, which ranked No. 1 at the global box office, bringing the Marvel epic’s total to $2.885 billion.

Avengers: Endgame Encore made its triumphant return seven years after its initial release, as it is considered “required viewing” before its sequel, doomsdaywhich arrives in theaters on December 18.

“There has been a natural progression since End of game In doomsdaywhich also includes all the other stories that happened,” director Joe Russo told Fandango. “But I think it’s important to see End of game back to the cinema for two reasons: first, you’re going to have a lot of fun… and second, I think it’s essential viewing to follow the story in doomsday.”
