A bipartisan group of 14 senators urged President Donald Trump Thursday evening to disinvite Russian President Vladimir Putin from the G20 summit in Miami next December.
“President Putin bears full responsibility for launching Russia’s full-scale war of aggression against Ukraine,” the senators wrote in the letter shared exclusively with The Washington Post. “Allowing him to participate in the G20 summit in the United States raises serious concerns about legitimizing and normalizing a government that continues to attack Ukrainian civilian targets every day. »
