On September 27 (local time), the BLACKPINK member attended the VMAs, turning heads as soon as she entered the red carpet. She also ended up becoming the first winner of the night, when her song “Dream” won the Moon Person for Best Pop. She won big against other heavyweight artists, including Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, CharliAnd Olivia Rodrigo.
