Comments Off on Bloom Energy Q3 Results: 3 Key Takeaways for Long-Term Investors

During its third quarter 2026 earnings conference call, held on October 22, 2026, Flowering Energy (BE -12.14%) raised its full-year revenue forecast to between $4.4 billion and $4.6 billion, from $3.9 billion to $4.2 billion. Growing demand for electricity from artificial intelligence data centers is pushing commercial customers toward on-site fuel cell production. Three takeaways from management explain why this change is important for long-term investors.

1. Revenue forecasts double as demand exceeds capacity

Management raised its full-year revenue forecast for the third time this year, projecting growth of about 122% for 2026 at the midpoint from last year. She notes that customer demand for rapidly deployable on-site power controls is growing faster than current shipments can meet.

2. Operating leverage drives profit growth

Quarterly revenue reached $1.24 billion while operating expenses grew at a much slower pace. This discipline increased operating margins and generated $286 million in non-GAAP operating income, a measure of core business profit.

Operating margin for the quarter increased to 23.1%, compared to 8.9% a year ago. Revenue increased by 138% while operating expenses increased by only 26%.
–Simon Edwards, CFO

3. Utility partnerships open up new growth horizons

A American Electric Power The contract for 700 megawatts of server capacity shows how utilities use on-site generation at the front of the meter or directly on distribution networks. Integrating carbon capture and sequestration (CCS), which captures emissions before they escape, opens up a trillion-dollar market opportunity.

AEP revealed that 700 MW of carbon capture and sequestration-enabled Bloom Energy servers will be used to provide (Alphabet’s) Google with almost zero electricity in a one-of-a-kind project.

Looking to the future

Demand for on-premises electricity is increasing as data centers outpace traditional grid infrastructure. Bloom is increasing its manufacturing capacity while maintaining pricing discipline to finance its growth.

As global energy needs increase, on-site fuel cells offer faster deployment than power grids. This structural advantage positions Bloom Energy to lead a transformation in energy delivery.

On-site energy based on fuel cells will become a preferred choice and complement to the grid for electricity delivery across all sectors and geographies.
