PELHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – The body of a missing Alabaster man has been found in Pelham, officials said Sunday.
Pelham city officials told WBRC that Pelham Dispatch received a call at 1:25 p.m. Sunday afternoon about a homeowner finding a body on their property.
Pelham police said they arrived, secured the area and confirmed a body was found near a body of water.
City officials said detectives and evidence technicians were called to the scene to assist.
Authorities said they were aware of a missing person from Alabaster, Glen “Mo” Spenceand that the body found on Sunday wore the same type of clothing as Spence.
On Sunday evening, Shelby County Coroner Lina Evans confirmed that the body found was Glen Spence.
Evans said there appears to be no trauma to Spence and further examinations will be conducted by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.
