Brewers vs Rays live updates, World Series lineups, where to watch: Brewers win first championship in franchise history
The Tampa Bay Rays have dug themselves into a deep, deep hole heading into Game 4 of the 2026 World Series, as the Milwaukee Brewers hold a 3-0 series lead and are one win away from the first championship in franchise history. A victory would also make Milwaukee the first team to win the World Series since the 2012 San Francisco Giants and the first to sweep both the League Championship Series and the World Series since the LCS became a best-of-seven in 1985.
First pitch is scheduled for Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The Brewers continued their dismantling of the Rays with a 10-1 victory in Game 3 on Monday. Starting pitcher Robert Gasser allowed just one hit in six scoreless innings, facing the minimum, and Milwaukee broke it open with an eight-run fifth inning to take a 10-0 lead. By the time Tampa Bay got on the board in the ninth, the damage had long been done.
In Game 4, the Brewers will hand the ball to right-hander Dustin May (7-9, 4.70 ERA) with a chance to clinch. May’s last start came in Milwaukee’s only playoff loss, Game 3 of the NLDS against the San Diego Padres, in which he allowed 3 hits and 2 earned runs while striking out 3 in 3 innings.
The Rays will counter with right-hander Griffin Jax (8-10, 3.53 ERA) with their season on the line. He hopes to improve on his previous start against the Cleveland Guardians in the ALCS, in which he allowed 5 hits and 3 earned runs in 4 innings, including Petey Halpin’s two-run go-ahead run. Jax has a 6.00 ERA in six innings this postseason, including two in relief against the New York Yankees in the ALDS.
