The Buffalo Bills are in Inglewood, California tonight to take on the Los Angeles Rams while closing out Week 5 action with Monday Night Football. In what seemed like a game that would never happen, it’s finally time, Rumblers.
Quarterback Josh Allen and the Bills need to have put their Week 4 dud in the past if they hope to win what could become another shootout with the Rams at SoFi Stadium. Those who make claims declare SoFi to be “Rams House,” but that shouldn’t make head coach Joe Brady and company shudder.
Buffalo has a similar firepower base to play the point matchup with Los Angeles tonight, and you can bet that the NFL’s last two MVPs, Allen and Matthew Stafford, will have a say in what awaits the winner and loser of the night.
Each team brings to the field a defense that could be described as “incomplete” after the first month. They both give up yards and points. Buffalo will have to adjust its plans if the injury problem continues to hurt its defensive backfield. That could mean significant starting moves for nickel cornerback for safety Damar Hamlin or someone else — perhaps newly-drafted cornerback Anthony Kendall.
Despite the challenges awaiting the Bills tonight, there aren’t many other teams as well positioned to defeat the mighty Rams en route to their dream matchup as the true home team in Super Bowl LXI.
Tonight serves as the litmus test, Bills Mafia. A loss doesn’t doom either team’s season, but could become a key reference point come playoff season. Will Buffalo improve to 4-1 and maintain their lead in the AFC East, or will Los Angeles deal them another early season blow in their playoff bid? We will know in due time.
With that, here’s your open thread for all of tonight’s action at Bills at Rams for Monday Night Football. As always, be kind to each other – and in all things… Go Bills!
