Cause of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ head injury revealed
Sean “Diddy” Combs was released from prison and sent to a New Jersey hospital after hitting his head on a bunk bed.
A source told Page Six that Combs hit his head on the bunk above him, but added that he is doing much better now.
The news comes after TMZ reported that the disgraced rapper was taken to the Fort Dix federal prison on Sunday and taken to a nearby medical facility due to a medical emergency.
A source previously told TMZ that the music mogul was taken out of jail by ambulance around 1 a.m. Saturday and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Combs, 56, was reportedly conscious and speaking after the alleged incident.
A spokesperson for the Grammy winner told us: “We are aware of the information regarding Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances. »
“Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern,” he continued, “and we appreciate everyone who has reached out to us.”
Combs was convicted of two counts of transportation for the purpose of prostitution and then sentenced to 50 months in prison in July 2025 following a highly publicized court proceeding.
He has repeatedly and vehemently denied accusations of wrongdoing.
In September, NBC News reported that Combs was enjoying a “pampered” life in prison with four unnamed prisoners alleging the “I’ll Be Missing You” hitmaker had people clean and cook for him.
The outlet also reported that Combs had access to “rich stuff,” including premium alcohol, antidepressants and a cell phone.
“It’s not a normal thing you see in prison,” the source revealed. “It sounds crazy, but then again, it’s Diddy.”
A representative for the Bureau of Prisons told Page Six at the time that for “privacy, safety and security reasons” they refrain from commenting on the conditions of inmates at the low-security federal correctional facility.
According to TMZ, the Bad Boy Records founder was sent back to solitary confinement following the reports, and Page Six confirmed that his prison release date – previously set for January 21, 2028 – had been pushed back to March 2, 2028.
TMZ also reported Tuesday that the fashion designer had been sued multiple times for alleged fights and cell phone violations during his incarceration.
According to the outlet, the hip-hop icon lost 400 days of commissary privileges — which allow inmates to earn snacks — as well as 41 days of free time credit.
