Chad Lowe’s Daughter Mabel Reacts to Sister Fiona’s Death
Chad Lowe’s eldest daughter Mabel has spoken out about the death of her sister Fiona.
Mabel, 17, shared in a heartbreaking Instagram post: “I love you so much fiona ❤️ I wish your short time here was easier and I hope your mind is at ease now.”
She added: “I will honor you forever and keep your memory alive. I love you, I hope you knew how much.”
Mabel shared several photos from her childhood with her younger sister, as well as a final photo of Fiona dancing, in Saturday’s upload.
The Lowe family — which also includes the “Pretty Little Liars” actor’s wife, Kim Painter, and their youngest daughter, Nixie, 10 — announced the devastating news of Fiona’s death on Tuesday.
She was 13 years old.
“We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona. She was a loving, intelligent, creative young girl and loved to dance,” the family shared in a statement to Page Six.
“She was adored by her sisters and deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives. Her passing is devastating to our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time.”
The statement concluded: “If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health issues, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.”
Mabel shared the statement on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, alongside a photo of Fiona smiling at the camera.
Lowe’s father, Charles “Chuck” Lowe, also paid tribute to Fiona a day after news of her death broke, sharing a photo of the teen smiling at the camera while swimming in a pool. “Rest in peace, sweet Fiona,” he wrote in the caption.
Fiona’s dance teacher, Kendra Andrews, also shared a video of Fiona in rehearsal with a heartfelt tribute, writing in part, “We will never be the same without you here.”
The Lowe family — which includes Chad’s brother, “Wayne’s World” star Rob Lowe — has remained relatively private over the years. Fiona’s last red carpet appearance with her family was at the premiere of Marvel’s “Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur” on February 4, 2023 in Burbank, California.
Fiona posed among her sisters, her father keeping his arms around Mabel.
According to Los Angeles medical examiner’s records viewed by Page Six on Friday, Fiona’s cause of death was confirmed to be suicide. She was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The “Bones” actor, 58, has shared more than once that being a father to three daughters means everything to him.
“It’s so interesting because by always wanting to have my own experiences and not living in the shadows or following in someone’s footsteps, I get to experience being a girl dad, which is such a privilege,” he said on the “Still Here Hollywood” podcast in August 2024.
In February 2024, he shared that being a father to his children was “the greatest joy and privilege” of his life after seeing how they handled the destruction of their home in the devastating Palisades fire.
“I’m in awe of their spirit and resilience,” he shared on Instagram alongside photos of his family looking at the remains of their home. “My only goal is to help them through these difficult times. »
