Chad Lowe’s family pays tribute to his late daughter Fiona
Chad Lowe’s family is reflecting on two new heartfelt tributes to the actor’s late daughter, Fiona, following her tragic death at the age of 13.
Fiona’s older sister, Mabel — who Chad shares with his wife, Kim Painter, alongside their youngest daughter, Nixie, 10 — reposted tributes from Fiona’s former dance teacher and the youth club and camp she attended to her Instagram Stories on Friday.
Her dance teacher, Kendra Andrews – the sister of sports presenter Erin Andrews – shared two videos of Fiona rehearsing in a dance studio, offering words of encouragement as she practiced.
“This first video was taken only a month after you lost your home to the fire,” Kendra wrote, referring to the Palisades Fire. “You walked into the studio like you always have in all the years I’ve known you… excited with a bright, bright smile and a big, warm hug for me.”
“The next video is our second rehearsal a few weeks later,” she continued. “You had clearly spent so much time outside of the studio working hard tweaking and refining. Your passion and determination was incredibly beautiful to see.”
“I didn’t film when you performed it on stage a few days later because I wanted to be fully present and soak it in. I was just watching (you) from the sidelines, (my) heart swelling with pride and my eyes flooding with tears of joy.”
Kendra concluded, “FiFi, I love you more than words can say. It has been an honor to teach you, laugh with you and watch you grow. Our hearts are broken. We will never be the same without you here. I will miss you and love you forever ♥️.”
She also addressed Lowe, Painter, Mabel and Nixie directly, writing: “I love you and think about you all the time.”
Widget Works, a youth group Fiona attended, also shared a series of photos and videos of her spending time at the beach with friends.
In the video that Mabel reposted, Fiona chatted with a woman behind the camera about a pumpkin-shaped stuffed pillow she had named “Mr. Pumpkin,” joking that he was a “lopsided pumpkin.”
“Thank you, Fiona. Thank you for all these beautiful years where we were able to frolic, dance, laugh and love each other,” we can read in the caption. “Thank you for being such an important part of our Widget Works family and for sharing your love, creativity, and sweet boldness with us.”
“We will miss you, and we will look for you in every wave, in every seagull cry, and we will sing your name among the ‘we are proud of you’.”
“We love and adore you, and our hearts ache to be without you,” Widget Works wrote. “But you will always be a part of our summers, and we will honor you and remember all the good days we were blessed with you ❤️ We love you, Fiona 🌊❤️❤️❤️ 🌊.”
Fiona’s mother also commented on the post, writing: “I love you so much.”
Chad, whose brother is actor Rob Lowe, and his family announced Fiona’s death Tuesday in a statement to Page Six, writing in part: “We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona. She was a loving, intelligent, creative young girl who loved to dance.”
They concluded their statement by sharing the 988 Suicide & Crisis lifeline.
Fiona’s cause of death was later confirmed to be suicide. She was pronounced dead at the hospital on Tuesday.
The next day, Chad’s father, Charles “Chuck” Lowe, paid tribute to his late granddaughter by sharing a photo of Fiona smiling at the camera while swimming in a pool.
He wrote in the caption: “Rest in peace, sweet Fiona. »
Most recently, Chad’s former “Bones” co-star David Boreanaz also paid tribute to Fiona on Instagram, writing in the caption: “My deepest condolences to my friends Chad and Kim on the loss of their beautiful soul, Fiona. May she be surrounded by light and dance in heaven with all the angels.”
Painter also commented on the post, writing: “I love you so much, @imdboreanaz – we all do.”
