Chad Lowe’s Los Angeles community rallies around his family after the death of his daughter Fiona
Chad Lowe’s family is receiving support from his Los Angeles community following the devastating suicide of his 13-year-old daughter, Fiona Lowe.
“Several families from Fiona’s school have offered to help,” a source told Page Six.
“Communal meals as well as GoFundMe accounts have been offered because everyone seems to want to help. They only share things with their very small private circle.” Page Six has learned that the family kindly declined the offers.
According to the Los Angeles medical examiner, Fiona died by suicide on September 29 at a local hospital.
A statement from the family to Page Six read: “His passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time. »
Page Six obtained a second email Monday sent to parents at Fiona’s school about how they are providing support to students.
“As we begin a new week, I want to take a moment to recognize that the last week has been difficult for many members of our community,” the middle school principal said.
“We know that students, staff and families may be experiencing a range of emotions. Counseling and wellbeing support services remain available on campus for students and staff who may need to talk to someone or just a little extra support.”
He concluded: “As we move forward together, we will continue to care for each other while keeping our students connected, engaged and learning. »
The first email sent following the death informed parents of the death of a student. The email did not name the student.
The family has faced many challenges that have earned them support from the community over the past two years.
In January 2025, Chad took to social media to talk about burning down his house in the Pacific Palisades fire.
“This is what’s left of 10 years of building our lives,” Chad said on social media in a carousel of photos showing the destruction. “Our hearts are broken, but we are comforted by all the well wishes and offers of assistance. We are fine and everything will be okay.
“We are each other. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.”
Chad – the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe – works on the ABC show “9-1-1: Nashville” and is known for his roles on “Pretty Little Liars” and “Melrose Place.”
