Charlie Cox reveals he’s already recorded 40 hours of lines for surprise Sega game
With New York Comic Con 2026 now underway, a number of high-profile players, including those from Marvel projects thanks to the upcoming Avengers: Apocalypsewill be making the rounds on red carpets and stage events over the coming days. With a new Daredevil series on the horizon, it’s no surprise that Charlie Cox is one of those actors. What was surprising was the Chiaroscuro: Expedition 33 teases the voice actor for a Sega mystery game for which he’s already recorded a ton of dialogue.
Earlier this year, Cox announced that he would star in more gaming projects following his experience on last year’s award-winning RPG. Talk to IGN at NYCC, Cox confirmed that he was working on a new, as-yet-unannounced role for an upcoming Sega game. This role also seems to be major and requires the Daredevil actor to put on an American accent without much prior preparation.

“I was supposed to do 40 hours or whatever, and I showed up the first day and I was like, ‘Hey guys, nice to meet you! How are you,” he recalled in the interview. “And they all said, ‘…oh, he’s English.’ They wanted him to be American. But now I have to do 40 hours of lines that I didn’t prepare with an accent.
With these few details, fans on social media have already started speculating. The most obvious possibility that comes to mind for many is Character 6. With the need to record so many lines and the game’s recent official teases over the summer, some fans are hoping the actor will play a role in the latest entry in Atlus’ hit JRPG series. That being said, it’s also possible that the game in question hasn’t even been announced yet, and with Cox even saying that the game “doesn’t have a name yet,” that could well be the case.
After winning numerous awards for his very first role in a video game and for his exceptional performance as Gustave in Expedition 33It’s good to know that Cox will be back in another major gaming project in the near future. Whatever it ends up being.
