From the “We sent a man to the moon but we can’t (do something simple)” department comes news that Cheerios is boldly going where no cereal has gone before: a resealable Ziploc bag.
The company’s announcement of the move Tuesday follows years of consumers complaining about why cereal (and many other foods) aren’t sold in packaging that helps them stay fresh longer. Another long-standing problem is bags that don’t open and close easily, meaning cereal can fall out of the bag.
