Christian Kirk added to 49ers injury report ahead of Week 9 game – NBC Sports Bay Area & California
SANTA CLARA — The 49ers continued to see several of their players return to the field after the bye week, but there was also another absence.
Christian Kirk, limited Wednesday by a knee injury, did not participate in Thursday’s practice. The veteran wideout was on the field for 20 offensive snaps in San Francisco’s Week 7 loss to the Atlanta Falcons after being sidelined with a calf injury early in training camp.
Deebo Samuel and Mike Evans were both out for a second practice before the team’s Week 9 clash with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Demarcus Robinson, however, participated in his second straight practice after missing significant time with a high ankle sprain. Robinson is expected to be ready for Sunday’s game.
Nick Bosa was seen on the field for a second straight session after missing five games with a calf injury in his leg, and was free from an ACL injury in Week 3 of the 2025 season. The All-Pro warmed up alongside DeForest Buckner, who will likely play a significant role on Sunday.
Upton Stout, who wore a blue non-contact jersey, was seen in his standard No. 20 jersey, indicating he might be healthy enough to play Sunday.
After being sidelined Wednesday with a hamstring injury, Christian McCaffrey returned to the field, alongside Trent Williams, who was given a veteran’s day of rest.
Special teams standout Garret Wallow and Luke Gifford were both back on the field for a second straight practice. The absences of both linebackers were felt during the 49ers’ loss to the Falcons in Week 7, when return coverage was clearly called into question.
