Don Mancini, the creator of the horror film franchise Chuckyhas a few things to clarify about Nicki Minaj’s Election Day message. After the rapper shared an AI-generated image of his killer doll encouraging people to vote Republican, Mancini responded Wednesday with a series of messages explaining why Chucky would have voted Democratic.

“HAPPY ELECTION DAY!!! Minaj wrote on Tuesday, alongside an AI-generated image of Chucky in a pink suit, sporting a “Vote Red” badge. Mancini responded directly to the post.

“THE IMPOSTOR. CHUCKY IS PART OF THE BLUE WAVE THAT WILL ELIMINATE ALL CORRUPTION,” he wrote.

In a separate article, Mancini explained some of the character’s objections to being enlisted in MAGA.

“Chucky has a trans kid. Chucky protects the dolls. Chucky is anti-ICE. Chucky says ‘A BLUE WAVE is coming, as BLUE as my fucking eyes!'”

Mancini followed up with a photo of a Chucky doll with blue hair. “Too bad, Nicki! No AI, by the way!” he wrote, adding the hashtag #bluewave.

Minaj has previously turned to Chucky when he posted about politics. In January, she shared an image of the doll while attacking Don Lemon for his coverage of an anti-ICE protest at a church in St. Paul, Minnesota. She made homophobic insults against the journalist and demanded his arrest. She later posted another image of Chucky, this time raising his middle finger.

“I’m glad they’re angry. They’re about to get even angrier,” she wrote at the time.

Meanwhile, Chucky’s family history has been a part of the franchise’s history for decades. His child Glen/Glenda played a pivotal role in 2004. Chucky Seed. In the second episode of Chucky TV series, the murderous doll tells its teenage protagonist, Jake, “You know, I have a queer child.” He then clarifies that his child is gender fluid.
