Ciara parades in Paris, pregnant with her fifth baby

Ciara just turned a fashion occasion into a triple feature.

The singer made a surprise appearance at Junya Watanabe’s spring 2027 ready-to-wear show in Paris on Saturday October 3, walking the runway not once, not twice, but three times, while proudly displaying her baby bump.

Vogue and Ciara revealed the surprise in a joint Instagram post after the show, sharing images of the 40-year-old musician strutting during the presentation in a series of increasingly dramatic looks. Each outfit centered around purple leggings and a matching crop top adorned with hot pink running-inspired stripes, paired with a low-cut black belt and red heeled boots.

Ciara’s first look layered a beige trench coat over the colorful base, topped with a black embellished cap. She changed outfits for her second walk, swapping the coat for a distressed-looking black leather jacket with dangling hardware and metallic embellishments.

For her final show on the runway, she went full maximalist. A sparkling helmet-shaped headpiece became the centerpiece of the look, with long strands of crystals cascading toward her waist.

While the outfits certainly caused a stir, the opportunity to walk the runway meant a lot to Ciara. “I’ve always dreamed of walking in Paris,” she wrote on Instagram after the show. “Junya Watanabe having me on your show was a major dream come true! »

Ciara also admitted that she wasn’t sure how the designer would react when she revealed she was pregnant, fearing that her pregnancy wouldn’t fit with the creative direction of the collection. Instead, Watanabe welcomed her to the track.

“Honestly, I was worried that when I mentioned I was pregnant you would say it no longer fit the vision, but you said YES!! » she continued.

The crowd inside the show reportedly responded enthusiastically to Ciara’s surprise appearance, while her husband Russell Wilson showed his support in the comments with heart and raised hands emojis.

The Paris show moment comes less than a month after Ciara and Wilson announced they were expecting their fifth child together. The couple shared the news on September 6 with the simple message: “One more person to love.”

Ciara has already accepted her pregnancy without slowing down. Just days after announcing the news, she took the stage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, performing the Billboard Hot 100 hits “Goodies” and “1, 2 Step” while incorporating a dramatic backbend into the set.

The new baby will join Ciara’s children Future, 12, Sienna, 9, Win, 6, and Amora, 2.
