Cowboys acquire Joey Porter Jr. in deal with Steelers
In exchange for Porter, the Cowboys will send the Steelers a second-round selection as well as a conditional sixth-round pick. Pelissero noted on his blog that trade talks between Dallas and Pittsburgh have intensified in recent weeks and the deal will soon become official. Porter has yet to play a game in 2026 as he dealt with a back injury as well as a contract dispute. The 26-year-old is one of the most talented corners in football, and Dallas has struggled to stop the pass in the first three weeks. Assuming good health, Porter should be a marked improvement over what the Cowboys got to start 2026.
