Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings Week 8 Q&A Preview
Unfortunately, given the circumstances of the last few years, the label of “fraud” will be attached to everything the Vikings do until they do something that shows that’s not the case. In 2022, they went 13-4, but in the four losses they were completely hammered and ended up with a negative point differential, then they lost in the Wild Card round at home. In 2024, they were 14-2 going into the final week of the regular season, but they completely imploded in the regular season finale. And the Wild Card round and ended up going home early. Now they’re 6-0, but the offense has been far from great (to put it in extremely polite terms) and the Vikings haven’t exactly faced a Murderer’s Row type opponent thus far. So, until something changes, the label “fraud” will continue to be used. Yes, it’s good to accumulate wins and we don’t control the schedule and all that, but with the schedule that the Vikings are looking at for the next four weeks (at Detroit, against Buffalo, at Green Bay, at San Francisco in Mexico), we are going to learn a lot about this team.
