Disney Plus streams Super Bowl 2027 in the US and 55 countries
Disney is adding another player to ESPN’s 2027 Super Bowl blitz.
The Mouse House will stream Super Bowl LXI on Disney+ in the United States and dozens of countries around the world. The move comes as Disney seeks to create the biggest possible canvas for the big game — and its expensive ads.
Disney+ and ESPN, in conjunction with the NFL, announced Wednesday that Disney+ will live stream Super Bowl LXI on Sunday, February 14, 2027, providing another platform for Gridiron fans to watch ESPN’s first Super Bowl production.
All Disney+ subscribers in the United States will be able to stream the traditional presentation of the game, also broadcast on ESPN and ABC, with Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Lisa Salters and Laura Rutledge on the call, as well as the Spanish-language broadcast on ESPN Deportes.
Outside of the United States, Disney+ will stream ESPN’s Super Bowl in more than 55 international markets, including Latin America, Brazil, the Caribbean, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, ESPN’s linear platforms will broadcast the Super Bowl in more than 130 countries and territories. Sports streamer DAZN has streaming rights for the 2026-27 NFL season (including the Super Bowl) outside the United States and China in more than 200 countries, available through its NFL Game Pass plan.
In addition to Super Bowl LXI, two regular season “Monday Night Football” games will be available to Disney+ subscribers before the big game. The first will pit the Dallas Cowboys against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, October 26 (week 7), with the second to be announced at a later date. Both games will continue to be broadcast as scheduled on ESPN, ABC and ESPN Deportes, with the option to stream the broadcasts in English and Spanish on Disney+.
All of ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” games and its Super Bowl programming will remain available on the ESPN app in the United States.
Disney said in August that advertising inventory for the 2027 Super Bowl was already sold out. This is the first time a broadcaster has announced a sellout for Super Bowl ads. According to the company, 58 brands across 34 categories (including nine advertisers new to the Super Bowl) earned units for the game.
But Disney isn’t done trying to reserve even more ad dollars for Super Bowl LXI: If advertisers who committed to airtime pull out and give up their time slots, the company is looking for between $10 million and $12 million per 30-second ad, Variety reported.
The addition of the Super Bowl and two “MNF” games to Disney+ join the growing list of sports available on the streamer, as the company looks to entice customers to subscribe to packages that include the full package of ESPN coverage. Disney+ currently offers a selection of ESPN college football games each week, alongside “College GameDay.” Later this year, Disney+ subscribers in the United States and most international markets will also be able to start streaming all Formula E races.
Super Bowl LXI will be played on February 14, 2027 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, which previously hosted the 2022 championship game.
