Dodgers vs. Brewers live updates, lineups, where to watch: Tarik Skubal, Jacob Misiorowski take the mound for an elite pitching matchup in NLCS Game 1

Andy Pages had one of the worst postseasons in MLB history last year. He was facing questions about being benched two games into these playoffs. Since then, he has been the Dodgers’ best hitter.

This time, he pushes a ground ball into the right field gap to score Ohtani from second and give the Dodgers the first run of the NLCS. Once again, Jacob Misiorowski doesn’t dominate as much as he did in the regular season.

Right on cue, Misiorowski gets his first strikeout of the game with Muncy sniffing a fastball well in the zone.

This isn’t much different than what happened in the first game against the Padres (that’s a bad sign if you’re Milwaukee).

And now Teoscar Hernández follows with a single. The Dodgers have a runner in scoring position with no outs, and Max Muncy is expected.

Shohei Ohtani hasn’t hit a home run since Aug. 18 due to lingering knee and biceps issues, but he’s still gaining respect. He scores a first base on four pitches in the second inning.

Tarik Skubalk posted a 1-2-3 first inning on 15 pitches, with strikeouts from the fiery Jackson Chourio and William Contreras. Starting pitchers as announced via a.

Wow, Kiké Hernández bounces a Brice Turang grounder to second but stays with the ball and comes out with a quick throw to first. Two points for Skubal at the end of the first.

Fox is launching a new scorebug in this series.

Will Smith launches into a double play to end a 12-pitch scoreless inning for Jacob Misiorowski. The first 11 of those pitches were faster than 100 mph, with the presumptive NL Cy Young winner bringing out a 91.2 mph slider to collect Smith’s ground ball.

Freddie Freeman fouls three straight balls then gets a shot down the opposite field line for the first hit of the night. He looked much better in the playoffs than he did in the entire second half.

Wow, Brice Turang opens the game with a web gem, going into shortstop territory and firing a crossover pitch to get Betts at first.

Jacob Misiorowski fires a 102 mph fastball to Mookie Betts, and we go to Milwaukee with an incredibly good pitching matchup. The Brewers are playing for their first World Series appearance since 1982, while the Dodgers are looking for a three-peat.
