The Trump administration on Thursday revised its federal lawsuit on the issue to incorporate allegations. a report from the New York Times that by Peltola campaign and the DSCC recruited a retired teacher, Daniel J. Sullivan to enter the Senate race in an attempt to siphon votes away from the incumbent president.

The amended complaint filed in the U.S. District Court in Anchorage, claims that by Peltola campaign committee, Alaskans for Married and the DSCC hid itself in a court file from October 23 where they claimed they did not have enough information to know whether the political novice was engaged in a “bona fide candidacy” or was seeking to get on the ballot “to confuse or mislead.”

“Apparently emboldened by the success of their plot to deceive Alaska voters, Alaskans For Married and the DSCC appear to have misled this Court,” the Associate Attorney General said. Stanley Woodward wrote.
