DOUGLAS COUNTY, Neb. (WOWT) – Authorities have identified the man killed in a suspected shooting in Douglas County.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office confirmed with First Alert 6 that Seth Vander Horst, 35, was the victim killed in the shooting.

DCSO says deputies were dispatched to a welfare call to a home in the area of 219th and Hascall just before 7 a.m. Saturday.

At the home, officers found Vander Horst dead from a gunshot wound. DCSO says a second resident of the home, a 63-year-old man, was transported to the hospital before deputies arrived.

More information will be provided once Vander Horst’s autopsy is completed, DCSO says.
