Drew Kendall ruled out for Jaguars, along with Smith and Barkley – NBC Sports Philadelphia
The Eagles on Friday officially ruled out starting center Drew Kendall — among several others — for their game against the Jaguars on Sunday in London after he missed a third straight practice.
Kendall took over at center in Week 2, with Cam Jurgens moving to left guard from Landon Dickerson when Dickerson went on injured reserve. Kendall’s strong performance over the past three weeks is one reason the Eagles were comfortable with trading Jurgens to the Ravens. But he will miss the Jaguars game because he is suffering from a knee injury.
With Dickerson out for at least another week, Kendall unavailable and Jurgens in Baltimore, the Eagles should start two undrafted players without career starts at left guard and center – Willie Lampkin and Jake Majors, probably with Lampkin at left guard and Majors at center but perhaps the other way around. Markel Bell will make his second career start at right tackle in place of the retired Lane Johnson.
The Eagles also ruled out wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring), running back Jonathan Greenard (ankle) and running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring). Smith and Barkley missed the Rams game and Greenard was injured during the game.
Also out Sunday: wide receiver Hollywood Brown (ankle) and safety Marcus Epps (groin).
Jalen Hurts appeared on the injury report Friday with a calf strain, but he was a full participant in practice and does not carry an injury designation. It was the first day of the week he was on the injury report.
Good news for pros Zack Baun and Quinyon Mitchell.
Baun, who suffered a concussion in the Titans game and missed the Rams, was ruled out of protocol and is expected to play Sunday. Mitchell (knee) was a full participant Friday and has no injury designation, so he is good to go.
Additionally, wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (hamstring), who has been listed as limited the past two days due to a hamstring, does not carry an injury designation and is expected to play Sunday. Edge rusher AJ Epenesa (back) was also limited Friday but is expected to play.
Linebacker Jihaad Campbell (knee), offensive tackle Fred Johnson (knee), tight end Dallas Goedert (knee) and tight end EJ Jenkins (toe), who were limited Thursday, were all full participants Friday, have no injury status and are expected to play against Jacksonville.
