Electric vehicle sales in China in October: BYD 483,125, Geely 214,996, Leapmotor 106,127, Xpeng 50,237

Global sales and delivery figures for major automakers in October 2026 are released. BYD took a solid first place, with Geely in second.

BYD sold 483,125 passenger cars in October 2026 worldwide. Specifically, BYD’s Dynasty and Ocean series sold 423,843 vehicles, Fang Cheng Bao sold 43,872 vehicles, Denza sold 15,152 vehicles, and Yangwang sold 258 vehicles.

Geely Auto delivered 214,996 units in October 2026. Of these, Geely Galaxy accounted for 153,385 vehicles, Zeekr 32,483 and Lynk & Co 18,521.

Leapmotor deliveries reached 106,127 units in October 2026, an increase of 50.99% year-on-year. The automaker announces that it will deliver the brand’s two millionth vehicle in November.

Consumer NEV brand Changan Nevo delivered 63,648 units, up 36.9% month-on-month and 75% year-on-year. Changan’s NEV brand Deepal sold 32,602 cars to its customers.

Great Wall Motor sold 49,499 new energy vehicles in October, including 12,187 Ora vehicles and 8,648 Wey vehicles.

Xpeng delivered 50,237 cars to its owners worldwide, an increase of 21.8% month-on-month and 19.6% year-on-year.

Xiaomi has sold 50,000 units. The company’s sales target for the full year is 550,000 units. So far, Xiaomi has only reached half of its sales target.

Huawei’s vehicle sales network, HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance), delivered 33,537 units in October 2026, down 50.8% year-on-year and 10.5% month-on-month. This figure includes the commercial performance of the Aito, Luxeed, Stelato, Maextro and Saic (Shangjie) brands.

Nio delivered 34,246,408 units in October 2026. The Nio brand delivered 18,125 cars, Onvo sold 8,383 vehicles, and Firefly delivered 7,738 units.

GAC Aion sold 42,357 units in October 2026, up 56.8% year-on-year. This figure includes the commercial performance of the Aion and Hyptec brands.

Li Auto delivered 29,025 cars in October 2026, down 8.6% year-on-year and 8.8% month-on-month, it was the first month in which the brand completely stopped using CATL batteries. It also became the only one among Nio, Li Auto and Xpeng to record monthly sales of less than 30,000 vehicles.

BAIC NEV sold 32,502 vehicles in October 2026, up 6.42% year-on-year. This statistic includes 26,325 ArcFox brand vehicles.

Dongfeng-owned premium brand Voyah delivered 13,030 units in October 2026.
