Ex-husband’s list of ‘marital sacrifices’ infuriates social media.
This is a shocking episode from The Ex-Files.
In the midst of her divorce, an Atlanta mother named Riley Madison was handed a laundry list of “sacrifices” her ex had made during their doomed marriage — including, apparently, sex with other women.
“My ex-husband sent me a list of things he had to give up in order to maintain a relationship with me,” said Madison, whose Rude Checklist TikTok has 15.5 million viewers.
Madison’s ex made loyalty his number one sacrifice — or, in his words, “‘Every woman I could have slept with since you and I got together.'”
(Unsurprisingly, he doesn’t mention whether any women were actually willing to sleep with him during this time.)
The ex-husband also criticizes Madison for having to maintain a basic job: “I gave up my free time during the week to work 9 to 5 so that we could get ahead financially. »
The list contained 15 more bizarre grudges, including foregoing “regular conversations with many women,” saving “money I could have spent on myself” and, oddly, “acting like a jerk.”
“Why was he proud to be an asshole?” asked a confused commenter under the clip. “Is he mentally okay?”
“I stopped being a jerk. CATEGORICALLY NOT TRUE,” wrote another, with no lie detected.
“That’s what men think of ‘suffering,’” one critic teased.
“How can I Also divorce? “, joked another spectator.
Armchair analysts in the comments called the now-single man “narcissistic,” “deviant” and simply a “clown.”
The TikTok was unique, but unfortunately its behavior was not.
That’s according to licensed clinical psychologist Susan Spicer, who recently warned the Post.
“95% of my patients are victims of narcissistic abuse and trauma,” specifies the pro.
She said classic tactics include gaslighting, manipulation, blame shifting and responsibility avoidance — all of which are displayed in the ex-husband’s dismal note.
These executioners rarely rehabilitate their treacherous ways, according to recent studies.
“You wouldn’t expect that someone you knew as a very narcissistic person would have completely changed when you saw them again after a few years,” said Dr. Ulrich Orth, a Swiss psychologist who studied more than 30,000 narcissists in a groundbreaking study.
“This was true even over very long periods of time, suggesting that narcissism is a stable personality trait.”
But it doesn’t have to be a drag on life — and Riley Madison is proof.
On her TikTok, she revealed that she was reading the horrible memo from her ex… while in bed with her new – and very cute – husband.
