Savannah Chrisley should proceed with caution when dealing with fiancé Jason Galanis because his ex-wife, Monet Bergerallegedly claimed to have been a victim of his schemes.
As In touch Previously reported, Chrisley’s new fiancé spent time behind bars after being convicted of defrauding the Wakpamni Lake Community Corp, a business arm of an Oglala Sioux Tribe community, in a bond scheme.
Galanis, 56, and Berger married in 2006 before filing for divorce in 2017 after nine years of marriage.
According to his divorce petition obtained by Us every week On Wednesday, October 28, Berger “was a victim of his crimes and received compensation from the Victims Defense Fund.”

Us every week reported that Berger cited “irreconcilable differences” in filing for divorce as the reason for their separation.
In the documents, Berger allegedly asked the court to handle their debts separately, but said they would pay their own attorney fees. Galanis apparently never responded to his request for divorce, so the judge entered a default judgment.
The publication also reported that Berger allegedly found a letter from the Los Angeles County Registrar’s Office advising Galanis to return a form to finalize their marriage process. Galanis apparently did not do so and their marriage was allegedly not registered with the Ministry of Health.
Galanis and Chrisley met after contacting via text a day after her parents were pardoned by President Donald Trump for their charges of bank fraud and wire fraud.
Chrisley, 29, also announced she was pregnant.
“I prayed for this life,” she shared alongside their announcement.
