Expanded recall of berries sold in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana
WASHINGTON (CNN Newsource/WKRC) — Check your freezers: A recall of frozen berries first announced in July has been expanded to include more products sold in stores across the tri-state area.
In July, Frutas y Hortaliza announced the recall of some of its frozen berry products sold at Publix due to possible E. coli contamination, which was also expanded in September. Now the recall also includes Great Value Frozen Organic Blueberries and Triple Berry Blend, as well as Trader Joe’s Frozen Mixed Berry Blend.
The Great Value brand was sold in Walmart stores in 30 states, including Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, as well as in Puerto Rico. Both were sold in 10-ounce bags and have expiration dates of January 2028 and February 2028. Blueberries also have a expiration date of June 12, 2028.
