Fantasy Football FLEX Finder Week 7: Jaylin Noel and Blake Corum among top deals

Comments Off on Fantasy Football FLEX Finder Week 7: Jaylin Noel and Blake Corum among top deals

Week 7 brings us four teams bye for the second time, leaving us scrambling to find realistic options that can score points. And what I mean by that is: There are five games all week with a plus/minus above 48, and one of those games is Thursday night. Yes, we are at the bottom of the garbage now.

Rules for this weekly article:

1) I will not recommend quarterbacks — There are plenty of good ones. You are alone there.

2) I will not recommend any running back that costs over $5,000, a wideout that costs over $4,500, or a tight end that costs over $4,000. DraftKings DFS Roster — That was an easy threshold for what a FLEX actually is.

3) I consider any player who collects more than 50 yards or wins for the column — whatever more you get out of it, well, good for you. Let’s keep expectations low because we’re looking for outliers.

Miami Dolphins vs. Pittsburgh Steelers – NFL 2025

An in-depth analysis of recent air yard trends and what it means for fantasy players heading into Week 7.

▶ Running backs

Blake Corum, LAR — $5,000 — The Corum franchise player has now scored in back-to-back games while generating eight and 11 touches. That’s right Kyren Williams complains about not getting the ball more, but I think the general trend to watch is that the Rams probably need to run the ball more as a team with Davante Adams out. That means no more Williams And more Corum. Williams tends to be the end zone guy, but with how often this team throws balls to running backs, I think there’s still plenty of room for Corum to get his own.

Kendre Miller, NO — $4,600 — Miller had a career-high 22 touches against the Giants, hitting them mostly between the tackles. Granted, it’s a different week against a road-favored Steelers defense. But the upside potential remains high, and I think Miller has touchdown equity that most backs in this range probably can’t touch, even if they Charlie Browned us. Tyler Shough breakouts all season.

Samaje Périne, CIN – $4,600 – The Bengals writers seemed to think there was a real share of pressure in the backfield after running Perine much better with shotgun than with Chase Brown under center against the Dolphins in Week 5. I don’t know if I’d call this a high-ceiling game, but the Bengals have scored 30 or more points in three of their last four meetings with the Ravens and the game has an over/under of 48.5. I like to have some very tactile pieces playing into this one.

Tyrone Tracy Jr., NYG – $4,800 – The Giants Freed Najee Harris and I think it’s very clear that they see Devin Singletary as a transmission player only. (He’s played 71 snaps this year and there have only been 13 running plays.) That leaves Skattebo’s rebounding game, which we’re excluded from, and Tracy. If you take John Harbaugh at his word about his desire to play the hot hand, Tracy is the hottest fullback they have. Skattebo is also regularly off the field in passing situations, hauling in 20+ snap passes just once every five weeks before the Week 6 bagel. The Giants – although I think they’re better than that – are 10-point dogs in Houston. I think all of this suggests that Tracy has the best chance to produce in this one.

NFL: Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

▶ Wide receivers

Omar Cooper Jr., NYJ – $4,100 – The Dolphins have allowed a league-low 5.3 passes per game against No. 1 players – they’ll try to follow exactly the game plan the Patriots executed against the Jets last week, where they stopped Garrett Wilson. Except the Dolphins defense is made up of practice squad stars compared to the Patriots. Anyway, I have some reservations Adonai Mitchell might come back and crowd this room a bit, but I think Cooper is a good bet to produce.

Jaylin Noel, HOU — $3,900 — Will I go back now? DeMeco Ryans already said Dell Tank will play this week. Marvin Harrison Jr. will benefit from improved playing time after spending a full week training with the team. But Noel has gone 3/85/0, 5/41/1 and 4/107/1 over the past three weeks with no incomplete targets. So while we can talk about reducing his playing time, he was already doing so with insufficient playing time. Let’s let the chronicle franchisee continue cooking, I said.

Kendrick Bourne, ARI – $4,000 – I don’t particularly like this game, even though the Broncos’ defensive backs are a little banged up at the moment. But Bourne has 16 targets in two games since Marvin Harrison Jr. was made inactive and traded. He is literally the most important piece the Cardinals have added on offense. Mike LaFleur this offseason now that Jeremy Love was thrown into the hole. Ozzie Smith fell in the softball episode of The Simpsons or has managed to injure his ankles in such a way that he no longer wants to play, whichever seems truer to you. So yes, I have no choice but to believe that he will be the proof of concept for this offense.

Konata Mumpfield, LAR – $3,200 – The first of two punts I like this week, Mumpfield went 4/93/1 on eight targets in the Los Angeles SNF’s loss to the Broncos, a game where they didn’t have Puka Nacua. This time they won’t have Davante Adams. It’s all small-time theater with Mumpfield, but he also had 13 targets in two games without Adams in Weeks 16 and 17 last year before the Rams rested the starters in Week 18. He’s been mentioned as the closest thing to an Adams replacement they have. The Rams’ underlying offensive numbers are still very good. Mumpfield is a logical bet at this price.

Ja’Kobi Lane, BAL – $3,400 – He immediately returned to a 4/40 line and now has eight targets in 58 offensive snaps this year. The Ravens should have Lamar Jackson back…we think…and Lane has the preseason hype to overcome a wrist/IR stint. I will trust the process again.

Giants RB picture changes after Harris release

Kyle Dvorchak reviews the top running back options for the New York Giants following the release of Najee Harris earlier this week.

▶ Tight ends

Mark Andrews, BAL — $3,900 – Listen, I hate this room. You hate this room. We all hate this room. Unfortunately, the Bengals are allowing 90.2 yards per game to tight ends, even after the last tight end they played was “Greg Dulcich.” Mark Andrews is completely washed out, but he can be with seven catches this week instead of three.

Tyler Higbee, LAR — $3,500 — The emptiness of Adams’ targets continues to haunt the column, and Higbee is forced to do an unsatisfactory job. Terrance Ferguson imitation. The Raiders have allowed an above-average 8.3 goals per game this year.
