Fatima Zahra El Mansouri named first female Prime Minister of Morocco

She was appointed by King Mohammed VI, who chose her as prime minister in place of the country’s football chief, Fouzi Lekjaa, a senior politician from the same party. El Mansouri, 50, has been mayor of Marrakech for several years and was also a minister in the previous coalition government.
