BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (KABC) — The FBI executed a search warrant at a Beverly Hills mansion Tuesday morning, and Eyewitness News has learned it was related to an investigation into former Rep. Eric Swalwell.
Law enforcement activity occurred on Roxbury Drive near Benedict Canyon Drive around 7 a.m.
The FBI confirmed the search but says court documents are sealed. Eyewitness News has learned this is related to an investigation into Swalwell, but additional details about the implications of the research were not available.
Eyewitness News has also learned that the home where the arrest warrant was executed is owned by billionaire and former California gubernatorial candidate Stephen Cloobeck.
Earlier this year, Swalwell ended his campaign for governor of California and resigned from Congress after several women accused him of sexual assault. He denied these allegations.
