Some Social Security payments will go out a day early in November, due to Veterans Day.
Social Security benefits, which are paid primarily to older or retired beneficiaries, are typically paid on Wednesdays. If your birthday falls between the first and 10th day of the month, your payment is scheduled to arrive on the second Wednesday of the month (for November, i.e. November 11), according to the Social Security calendar.
However, because Wednesday, November 11 is Veterans Day, Social Security payments will be issued a day early.
As for other beneficiaries, if you were born between the 11th and the 20th, you are paid on the third Wednesday of the month (November 18); those born after the 20th of the month are paid on the fourth Wednesday of the month (November 25), according to the SSA calendar. Social Security recipients who began receiving their benefits before May 1997 are scheduled to receive their payment on November 3.

The Social Security Administration’s payment schedule for 2026 and 2027 is available online – and you’ll find a handy schedule below – so you can check the schedules for budgeting purposes.
The check you receive in October is technically your Social Security retirement benefits for September, while your October benefits are covered by the check that arrives the following month, according to the SSA. Here is the SSA program:
- Tuesday November 10: Dates of birth between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- Wednesday November 18: Dates of birth between the 11th and 20th of the month.
- Wednesday November 25: Dates of birth between the 21st and 31st of the month.
SSI payment schedule for November and the remainder of 2026
Supplemental Security Income, which is also administered by the SSA, is a benefits program for people with limited or no income or resources, people age 65 or older, people who are blind or have a qualifying disability, including children with disabilities, according to the SSA website.
SSI recipients typically receive their payments on the first business day of the month. In November, since the first day of the month is a Sunday, beneficiaries will see their payment issued on Friday, October 30.
