First look: the Omega Seamaster Diver 300m from the James Bond and Specter collection
For over 30 years, Omega and James Bond have shared a strong bond, with the Swiss watchmaker appearing in every Bond film, on the secret agent’s wrist since Golden Eye in 1995. Countless cinematic watches and numerous special editions have been created, the latest being in 2022 for the 60th anniversary of the franchise, but all have been dedicated to the good side, worn by 007 or his allies. Today, on James Bond Day, Omega is launching a pair of watches (well, actually, 6 special models; more on that later) and, for the first time, Specter enters the scene. Same base model, same set of specs, different outfits representing each side of the story. And to complete the picture, the two classic steel models are joined by two limited edition boxes, one for each name, combining a stainless steel watch and a platinum gold model, the latter featuring solid gold guilloché dials. Let’s discover the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond and Specter Collection.
What we’re looking at here is a collection of six Seamaster watches, three bearing James Bond symbols and three bearing Specter symbols, based on the Seamaster Diver 300M No-Date released in 2024 and powered by the Master Chronometer caliber 8806. Two stainless steel editions are available individually, one dedicated to James Bond and one to Spectre. These are special editions and not limited. The collection is completed by two high-end limited edition boxes, one for each facet of the story, combining a stainless steel watch and a platinum gold model. Each watch bears its emblem on the rotor: a decoration in the shape of a gun barrel on James Bond models and the Specter logo on Specter models. So let’s dive into the details.

The Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond and Specter Steel Editions
Bond or Ghost…? Secret agent or villain…? Choose your side. What you need to know though is that whichever team you choose, these Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond and Specter Steel Editions are technically identical and only differ in aesthetics. The base is well known, being the undated version, the latest evolution of the iconic Seamaster Professional 300M launched in 1993, first appearing in Golden Eye in 1995 and has since been nicknamed the James Bond watch. Let’s start by eliminating what we already know.

Both watches are steel models, retaining the collection’s classic 42mm case with a thickness of 14.23mm, a 50mm lug lug and a design that needs no introduction, with lyre-shaped lugs, a conical HEV at 10 o’clock, partial crown guards and, specific to the no-date versions, a bos-shaped sapphire crystal. The watches both feature a “Naiad Lock” case back with sapphire crystal and are water resistant up to 300m. Both editions are equipped with the now classic brushed stainless steel mesh bracelet, closed with a steel clasp. This bracelet first appeared in titanium on the No Time to Die edition, before being available in steel on the 60 Years Of James Bond edition and finally on models without a regular production date.
Under the caseback and before we talk about the special rotors, the steel Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond and Specter editions are powered by the in-house Master Chronometer 8806 caliber. This automatic movement operates at a frequency of 25,200 vibrations/hour (3.5 Hz) and is regulated by the brand’s coaxial escapement with a freely suspended silicon balance wheel. As such, it offers impressive resistance to magnetic fields (up to 15,000 gauss) and is chronometer certified by COSC and METAS. It is equipped with a single barrel and can store up to 55 hours of power reserve.
The James Bond model
The James Bond edition (ref. 210.30.42.20.03.004) presents itself as a successor to the 60 Years Of James Bond edition, thanks to its blue dial with laser-engraved waves, a classic look reminiscent of the first SMP 300m models produced in the 1990s. There are, however, many elements unique to this edition, starting with the bezel, in grade 5 titanium, featuring a diving scale laser engraved in positive relief, on a matte background – identical to the 2024 version without date. Several special inscriptions are also visible on the caseback.

As for the blue aluminum dial, in addition to the emblematic wave pattern, we find the coat of arms which serves as a marker at 12 o’clock. The rest of the dial remains, with rhodium-plated and diamond indexes and openwork hands, all generously filled with white Super-LumiNova – blue emission for all elements, except the minute hand which glows green. Turn the watch over and you will discover an oscillating weight in the shape of James Bond’s iconic barrel, here with a rhodium-plated finish.
The Specter Edition
For its first appearance in the Omega special edition, Specter adopts a much darker look. The Specter Edition (ref. 210.30.42.20.01.023) features a black ceramic bezel insert with a positively embossed 60-minute scale and a matte, grained surface. The aluminum dial uses the same idea, with its black and grained finish. Here, no specific elements on the hands and indexes, which are all identical to the classic versions of the Seamaster Diver 300M and covered in white Super-LumiNova. The back reveals a pretty cool rotor, shaped like the criminal organization’s octopus logo and blacked out.

The new Omega Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond and Specter in steel are available in special and non-limited editions from October 5 in Omega boutiques and online. The price is the same for both models: 8,500 euros (taxes included), CHF 6,700 Or $8,600 (excluding taxes).

Quick facts: 42 mm x 14.23 mm – 50 mm lug to lug – steel case, brushed and polished – unidirectional bezel with insert in grade 5 titanium or black ceramic – box-shaped sapphire crystal with AR coating, Naiad caseback with sapphire – screw-down crown, HEV – water-resistant to 300 m – blue aluminum dial with laser-engraved wave or blackened with grained effect – Master Chronometer caliber 8806, automatic, coaxial, without date, 55-hour power reserve – brushed steel mesh bracelet – 210.30.42.20.03.004 (Bond) or 210.30.42.20.01.023 (Spectre)
Limited edition boxes
In addition to the two steel editions above, Omega is also launching two limited series of two watches, one for James Bond and one for Spectre, each produced in 77 copies. Each set contains a stainless steel model on a brushed mesh bracelet, identical to the models shown above, with the exception of a plaque applied to the side of the case at 9 o’clock, indicating the unique number of each set.

Most importantly, the sets are completed by a premium edition of the Seamaster Diver 300M made in the brand’s exclusive platinum-gold alloy (approximately 95% platinum and 5% gold – previously seen in the 2020 edition of the Seamaster Bond and the recent Constellation Observatory). The same alloy is used for the pin buckle, since these editions are worn on shiny blue or black alligator straps. The bezels are also unique, in polished ceramic, in blue for the Bond model and black for the Specter edition, while the diving scale is made of platinum.

The most distinctive elements of these limited editions are the dedicated dials and rotors. The dials of the Bond and Specter editions are made of solid white gold with a guilloché pattern. The Bond Edition gets a blue gradient PVD coating over a pattern that mimics the famous gun barrel, while the Specter Edition features a gray to black gradient PVD coating over an octopus-inspired etched pattern.

On the other side, at the winding of the automatic caliber 8806, are special oscillating weights. The Bond model has a blue version inspired by the barrel of a gun, while the Specter model has a black and gold octopus-shaped rotor. On both models, the emblem on the rotor is executed in 18-carat Moonshine Gold. Spec-wise, these premium and limited platinum-gold versions are almost identical to the steel versions, with a slightly thicker case (14.29mm), the same box-shaped sapphire crystal, the same helium valve, Naiad lock case back, and 300m water resistance.
Each limited edition box set comes in a large presentation box including both watches, an additional NATO strap and strap changing tool, cufflinks, lanyard bracelet, magnifying glass, travel pouch and leather card holder, as well as a certificate of authenticity. In the James Bond set, the strap loops are 007 engraved and the travel pouch is blue. In the Specter set, the strap loops feature the Specter emblem, the cufflinks and cord bracelet are in a matching Specter execution and the travel pouch is black. Note that neither watch is sold separately.

Each released in 77 numbered copies, the limited edition Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond and Specter sets are priced at 88,500 euros (taxes included), CHF 70,000 Or $89,800 (excluding taxes).
