Five people arrested in the UK near a base used by the United States on suspicion of planning a terrorist act

Five men are in custody of British police on suspicion of plotting a terrorist act after being arrested early Sunday near a U.K. airbase used by the U.S. military, authorities said.

Hours later, at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, President Donald Trump said U.S. and British authorities were working together on the investigation. He said he believed the individuals were “looking to cause great damage” to the base.
