“Breaking Bad” star RJ Mitte’s former teenage girlfriend shared a touching tribute to the actor, remembering him as “one of the kindest, rarest hearts.”

Mitte committed suicide Monday in Texas, Page Six confirmed. He was 34 years old.

Mitte’s ex-girlfriend Saint Sasha posted two photos of the former couple later in the day, including a photo of them smiling together at home and another showing them cuddling in the sun while Mitte wore sunglasses.

“I first fell in love when I was 18. RJ was the first person to show me how a man is supposed to treat a woman,” Sasha, a Portland-based photographer, wrote on Instagram.

“He was the first partner to build me up and make me feel invincible. He had one of the kindest and rarest hearts I have ever had the privilege of knowing and he was always a friend. I can’t believe this is real.”

“Never in my life could I forget him and how he made me feel. He was the first and last of his kind,” she added. “Thanks for everything, endlessly, RJ. I love you, buddy.”

Mitte’s death comes about a year after he became engaged to his girlfriend of five years, Kennedy Suarez, on her 30th birthday.

“I’m thrilled to have found my person, my partner in life who makes me want to be better, no matter what we do,” the actor told People after proposing in October 2025.

“Kennedy means everything to me, and I can’t wait to officially start our life together and see what adventures life takes us next,” he added.

Mitte, who suffered from cerebral palsy, made his request at a charity event in Carlsbad, Calif., to benefit United Cerebral Palsy of San Diego, where he served as an ambassador.

Suarez celebrated the engagement on Instagram at the time, writing: “My 30th birthday felt like a fairy tale….I have the man of my dreams by my side and we are doing what we love most: helping others.”

Mitte played Walter “Flynn” White Jr., the son of Bryan Cranston’s Walter White, throughout all five seasons of AMC’s hit crime series “Breaking Bad.”

Her co-star Luis Moncada said Tuesday that he noticed Mitte seemed unusually depressed shortly before her death.

Moncada, who played Marco Salamanca on the series, told “TMZ Live” that he reunited with Mitte at a charity golf tournament more than a week earlier.

Moncada said Mitte’s attitude seemed “different” and described him as “tired and sad.” He invited the actor to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta the next day in hopes of cheering him up.

“He was being pulled in all kinds of directions,” Moncada said, adding that Mitte seemed “very conflicted” but refused to share what was troubling the actor.

In his final interview before his tragic death, Mitte said he planned to continue auditioning and “live his dream.”

“I tell people, you know, every dream can also be a nightmare… but keep living it, keep moving forward,” he said on “The Joe Vulpis” podcast on October 5.
