Georgia vs. Alabama Football Injury Report
The Georgia Bulldogs are gearing up for an epic showdown on Saturday night.
No. 2 Georgia (5-0, 3-0 SEC) hits the road to face No. 6 Alabama (5-0, 3-0 SEC) in a 7:30 p.m. ET game that will be televised by ABC. The Bulldogs are coming off a 38-14 win over Vanderbilt in Week 5. Alabama, meanwhile, beat Mississippi State 56-23 in Starkville last week.
“A lot of respect for Coach DeBoer and the way they go about it. They have an extremely physical football team. They’re playing a very high level of football right now.” Smart Kirby said Monday. “I was very impressed with both sides of the ball and special teams. Quarterback (Keelon Russell) plays wonderfully for them. Guy is really talented, fun to watch, and you saw his growth from the first game all the way through. This guy’s talent is pretty incredible, and they have a big project around him.
βIt will be a very big challenge for us to go and play in a really difficult environment, and our players will be looking forward to it.β
The Bulldogs and Crimson Tide know each other pretty well these days. They have faced each other seven times since 2020, with Georgia holding a 2-5 record during that stretch. They have faced each other twice in 2025: Alabama won the first meeting 24-21 in September before Georgia got revenge with a 28-7 victory in the SEC title game.
Overall, Smart is 2-7 against the Crimson Tide.
Georgia will have its work cut out for it against Alabama on the road. The Crimson Tide has only lost once at home under head coach Kalen DeBoera 23-21 defeat against Oklahoma last November. The Bulldogs haven’t won at Bryant-Denny Stadium since 2007, after losing their last two trips to Tuscaloosa.
The Bulldogs have a handful of players beaten in this one, including one that could be a game-time decision. Here’s the latest on the injury front for the Bulldogs.
Note: Be sure to check back on this story about an hour before kickoff. We’ll know who made the trip and who will be watching the action from home.
