Georgia vs. Alabama score, live updates, highlights: Follow the SEC showdown after Hurricane Isaias
After Hurricane Isaias makes landfall this weekend, the biggest game on the SEC schedule is expected to be played in Tuscaloosa.
While it’s possible that the No. 2 team in the country could be an underdog, there’s a potential argument to be made in favor of the Bulldogs.

Part of it depends on timing; The Bulldogs’ opponents so far this year have been Arkansas, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt. But this is an offense that’s averaging nearly 480 yards on just 60 plays per game. Gunner Stockton was one of the most effective quarterbacks in the country and could throw to any receiver on any given play.
Georgia’s run defense has been elite thus far and will be a massive test for Alabama. The Tide may not have a star running back, but they have a trio of backs as good as any in the country. This will be a big help to quarterback Keelon Russell in what is the biggest game of his young career.

Georgia’s passing game has been incredibly spread out among receivers and running backs so far this season. And it works wonderfully. There may come a time when the Bulldogs need to figure out who their preferred receiver is, but when the ball could plausibly be thrown to any eligible receiver on any play, defenses can’t focus on one player.
