Puppies have difficulty controlling their emotions. They can be like toddlers, where they react instantly to their environment, whether it is considered acceptable behavior or not. Yet their adorable impulsiveness is what makes them all the more endearing and entertaining.

Stella the Golden Retriever The pup was doing his best to practice some self-control when he recognized his fur baby friends nearby, but he was clearly having trouble remaining calm.

In @stellathegoldengirl’s TikTok, the precious pup sat on her dad’s lap in a bookstore with a gaze fixed on something across the room. Stella tried to stay cool and keep her enthusiasm a secret, even though you could see the internal war she was waging with her emotions. At one point, she raised her paw as if to move forward, but she managed to pull herself together.

The camera panned to where Stella was looking. Another Golden Retriever and a Dachshund stood up and looked at Stella, wagging their tails. The cute canines obviously knew each other and wanted to join in on some impromptu playtime, but realized they were in a retail store that didn’t allow such antics.

“When you see your friends, but you also learn to self-regulate well,” the on-screen text shared, with the caption adding: “Just a social butterfly learning a little self-control.”

Followers found Stella irresistible and applauded her restraint:

  • “Honestly, it’s so impressive,” one exclaimed.

  • “That little paw raising while trying to stay calm is pure self-control in progress,” another pointed out.

  • “You are doing great, my darling!!” » clapped one follower.

  • “They were all wagging their tails across the room,” someone noted.

  • “What a good girl!!” » exclaimed a fan.

Managing Your Puppy’s Energy

Puppies have unlimited energy that must be channeled into productive activities. Some strategies to reduce hyperactivity include:

  • Mental stimulation using puzzle toys, basic training sessions and exposing them to a new environment.

  • Healthy sleep in a calm and quiet area on a regular schedule.

  • Training and structure By establishing a routine and setting clear boundaries, you can help manage your puppy’s behavior and impulse control.

Stella seems to be already on the right track and is showing that she can remain calm, cool and collected in tempting situations.
