A federal grand jury in Washington has rejected a Justice Department attempt to indict Cassidy Hutchinson, a former White House aide, for the account she gave to lawmakers about President Donald Trump’s actions during the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, according to two people familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a grand jury case.
