GTA 6 had a very busy week
After many, many years of waiting, we have entered the final phase of Grand Theft Auto 6The hype cycle. Next month in November, Rockstar Games will finally release its long-awaited open-world sequel, GTA6. And for 90% of that wait, it felt like fans had to survive on leftovers. Just one trailer. A little teaser. A new screenshot. Announcement of a delay. But now the GTA6 the marketing machine is finally gaining momentum. This is probably why last week was one of the busiest for GTA6 fans are waiting to play in November.
New screenshots and information via Love Magazine

Friday, Love Review released some new looks at GTA6 and shared some new quotes from developers working on the game ahead of the magazine’s next issue. This number will include GTA6 the protagonists Jason and Lucia on the cover. Before that, Love shared some information from two different GTA6 writers:
“We wanted the two protagonists to be vulnerable, tough, imperfect, sometimes right, sometimes wrong, able to learn from each other,” explains game writer Elizabeth Gauvey-Kern.
“When you focus on writing a fully realized person with their own desires, you’ll get something that’s perfectly imperfect, clichéd, but also undeniably real,” says Alexa D’Agostino.
A mural is being created in New York
Meanwhile, in New York, Grand Theft Auto fans spotted painters installing a new mural depicting Jason and Lucia hanging on a wall somewhere in Brooklyn. Looks like it will be over soon.

I have some GTA6 Merchandise

News directly from… me! Earlier today I received a package in the mail from Rockstar Games containing new Grand Theft Auto 6 goodies and derivative products. My favorite item they sent me was definitely the pink canvas bag. It’s very nice. I will never say no to stickers either.
It appears to be the same box of gifts sent to some RGT content creators. Rockstar tells me they sent it to me as a thank you for my years of work. RGT cover to Kotaku. I guess I wrote about RGT on this site for a decade now…eh.

As we discussed earlier today, Rockstar is teaming up with the Miami Heat to host a big takeover party on November 18, just before GTA6It’s the big launch. The stadium will welcome a new GTA6-an inspired field, and Heat players will wear new Vice City uniforms. The Heat are selling a ton of new GTA6 merch and shirts as well, including a shirt that seems inspired by a silly Easter egg found in the OG Vice city.

And let’s not forget that at the start of the week, GTA6 I have a great cover story in Game Informer review. This story gave us even more new screenshots from the game, as well as new details about the size of the world. You can expect over 150+ animal species across GTA 6′s, as well as hurricanes and tropical storms. We also learned that there would be legendary creatures to discover there. Maybe a stinky monkey is hiding in the Leonida swamps? Oh, but don’t expect to visit Disney World in GTA6.
So yes, it was a busy week for Grand Theft Auto 6! And I suspect that as we get closer to launch next month, we’ll see even more marketing efforts from Take-Two and Rockstar Games as they prepare to release what will likely be the biggest video game of the decade. No pressure.
